Waterfront Technology Center at Camden Named Economic Impact Deal of the Year

The EDA’s Waterfront Technology Center at Camden received the prestigious Economic Impact Deal of the Year Award from the New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NJ-NAIOP). The honor was announced at NJ-NAIOP’s 20th annual Commercial Real Estate Awards Gala held at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.

Camden, NJ: The Honorable Mayor Gwendolyn A. Faison and Vincent Basara, Camden UEZ Coordinator are proud to inform you that the Camden Special Service District-Clean Team application was approved today by the NJUEZA in Trenton. The Camden UEZ will be providing $484,152 in funding toward this program. The program calls for the current street cleaning and ambassador services to be extended from downtown to five additional commercial corridors (Yorkship Square, Haddon Ave, Federal Street, and River Ave. Broadway). “This is great news for the City of Camden", says Mayor Faison “I am very much in support of this project and have been promoting “clean and safe” initiatives throughout my term as Mayor.
